  • Salvation Testimony

I was born and raised in a Christian family. My grandfather was a pastor and both my parents are faithful Christians. When I was a child, I didn’t really understand what salvation meant. I always attended Sunday school, I always heard Bible stories and I always sang Christian songs. I thought everything was alright and I thought that I was already saved because I was doing what was right. I grew up and heard a lot of things about Jesus Christ. I always heard how to be saved, but I always ignored it because I knew that I was saved. I thought those messages were for other people– not me because I always heard it.

One day, when we were having our chapel hour in our school, I asked myself, why am I here? What is the purpose of my life and what will be my life in the future? That time I knew that there was something missing in my life, there was something that I needed, but I couldn’t figure it out. When the service started and the pastor preached, one of his questions caught my attention. He asked, “If you die today, are you sure that your soul will go to heaven?” I tried to answer it but I couldn’t. He went on and preached. He explained how to go to Heaven and I started to feel fear in my heart because I have heard all of that before but I never understood it with my heart. All this time, if I died I would have gone to Hell. I was scared because of that. When the invitation was given, I started crying knowing that I was not yet saved. I found out that the answer to my question is Jesus Christ. He needs to be the purpose of my life. One of my teachers took me aside and helped me pray. That day, August 12, 2002, I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior. He is the one missing in my life that I needed. That day, I finally understood what salvation meant. Jesus saved me not because of what I did which I thought was good, but because of what He did for me on the cross of Calvary.

  • Calling & Training

The Lord called me in His ministry when I was a senior in high school. My uncle who is a missionary asked me if I wanted to stay with him and his family in their house as he was currently starting a church. While I was there, I helped him and the Lord burdened me to do the same: to win souls for Him. The Lord showed me the need in His mission field. After I graduated in high school, I decided to enroll at Fundamental Bible College for Asians.

When I surrendered my life in full time service, I had a desire to know more about the Lord and His Word. I enrolled at Fundamental Baptist College for Asians in 2006 and in 2008, the Lord gave me an opportunity to pastor a church in Nueva Ecija for 6 motnhs while I was studying. After that, I went back to my home church to help my uncle again who was starting his 2nd mission work. In 2009, the Lord gave me another opportunity to handle another outreach in Bayambang, Pangasinan. I thank the Lord for using me and saving people.

In 2010, I graduated from Bible college and took over one of the churches in Tarlac City and have pastored there for 6 years. In 2016, the Lord opened a door for me to further my training at Marietta Bible College under the leadership of Dr. Myron Guiler. This college has a big heart for the missions as they prepare foreign students like me for full time service of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Ministry Experience

I thank the Lord for giving me the privilege to be used and be involved in soulwinning and evangelism. After I graduated from Bible College in 2010, I took over as pastor in a village church in Tarlac City. In that village was where many of my relatives lived and I thank the Lord for putting me there and using me to reach my own people.

We knocked on doors, shared the Word of God, and the Lord added people in the church. We distributed Gospel tracts and taught children about the Bible. I was also involved in sport’s evangelism. We had fellowships by playing basketball and had the opportunity to share the Word of God to young people who came.

I also had the opportunity to speak in Family Development Sessions in our place. FDS is a government initiative. The church’s part and main purpose is to uplift the spiritual condition of the beneficiaries. I’m able to share the Word of God to 65 heads of families who attended; most of them are mothers. During summer, we held Vacation Bible School with an average of 50 children in attendance. What a joy to minister to these children. Most of them are my relatives and it is my joy to see the Word of God being planted in their hearts.

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
