  • Salvation Testimony

    I was born in the Philippines into a Roman Catholic family. Back in those days when we were still in Catholicism, it was common for us siblings to see and hear our parents fight and argue about many things. Often times after his work, my dad and his friends spend long hours of drinking sessions in our house. He had money for his friends and his vices but always not enough for the family. But then, something happened to my father. Suddenly, he claimed that Jesus changed his life. My mom wasn’t convinced, but as a child I saw there were changes in the way we lived. My dad’s friends no longer went to our house to drink and smoke. We no longer went to the Catholic cathedral in our city but to a Baptist church with my dad eager. My dad did change because he met Jesus and got saved. My parents became members of the church and not long after, my dad became one of the deacons. Several months later, he was in a Layman’s training and soon became a preacher and a missionary. Since then, I was always with my dad in the ministry.

    Since my dad got saved, we had morning family devotion everyday. But one early Monday morning there was something unusual in our devotion. My dad opened the Bible and taught about the rapture. Before we ended our devotion he told me something that really bothered me, he said that if Jesus comes that very day, my dad cannot take me where they are going. As a young boy, I was terrified to be separated from my dad. I told him, “You are a pastor, why can’t you take me?” He said only Jesus can make it possible for me to go to heaven. I was so afraid of being left behind and be away from my loved ones forever that I wanted to know how Jesus can take me to heaven. That morning, my dad showed me from the Bible the way of salvation, he showed me that I am a sinner and I need Jesus Christ as the only Savior of my soul. I opened my heart and asked Jesus to come to my heart to save me. After that prayer, I knew that when the time comes I can be with my family in heaven.

    Years later, when I was 13 yrs old in our Sunday school, our Sunday school teacher asked me if am saved and will go to heaven. I proudly said I am, she said why? I said because one day I asked Jesus to be my Savior. The next question she asked me made me think. She said when? “When did you accept Jesus to be your Savior.” I remembered that when I was 7 years old, one Monday morning, on my first day in school, at 5:00 am and was sitting on the third step of our stairs, I accepted Jesus and let Him be my Savior. When we came home from church that afternoon I asked my mom, “When did I accept Jesus to be my Savior? When was the date?” She left me and went inside their room. After a short while she came back to me and showed me a 6 year old calendar and said, “Here, I marked the day when you received Jesus to your heart.” It was June 9, 1980. That was the day I belonged to the family of God. I can say that no matter what day Jesus will come again, I will not be left behind or be separated from those people that I love most. I will not be LEFT BEHIND.

  • Calling & Training

    After high school, I knew God was calling me in the ministry, but growing up as a pastor’s kid I knew how tough it was to be in the ministry. I tried to run away from God by going to secular college. But one Wednesday night in a prayer meeting, I was convicted through the message to not run away anymore. The preacher said when you are old and not able to walk or when your eyes are already dimmed or when your life is almost at the end, will you only then give your life to Christ? That night I surrendered my life to the Lord. When I got home, I packed my things and went to Bible college.

    Growing up in church, I was involved in a lot of ministries in the church. In 1993, I enrolled at Fundamental Baptist College and graduated Bachelor of Theology. While studying I was given the privilege to assist and pastor a mission work in Tarlac City. In 2014, I was given the opportunity to study as a scholar at Marietta Bible College in Marietta, Ohio under the leadership of Dr. Myron Guiler to further my studies and to be more equipped for the mission field.

  • Ministry Experience

    After completing Bible college in the Philippines, I took over the pastorate of a church in Laoag City in the Northern part of Luzon, Ambassador Baptist Church. Even though I was young and lacked ministerial experience, the Lord was faithful in sustaining me. He taught me many things in my first ministry and those experiences were important and helped me grow more mature in the ministry. In 1999, I briefly pastored Heritage Baptist Church in Camiling, Tarlac in the absence of my brother and in 2000 together with my family, we pioneered Heritage Baptist Church of Mayantoc, Tarlac.

    In 2005, the Lord led me to a place where I never thought I will be. While busy in the ministry in Mayantoc, the Lord led me to the Middle East, in Doha, Qatar where He gave me the opportunity to pioneer Berean Baptist Church of Doha, Qatar with my wife. For five years, the Lord taught me that anywhere He leads, if we will only follow He will use us for His glory!

    In November of 2012, I formally took over the pastorate of the ministry that was started by my dad, Bibleway Baptist Church of San Carlos City, Pangasinan. That ministry is still growing as the Lord continues to bless His work. We were able to knock on doors and share the Word of God, teach children about the Bible, and disciple Christians as they grow in faith.

    We regularly conduct FDS or Family Development Seminar in our city. FDS is a government initiative. The church’s part and main purpose is to uplift the spiritual condition of the beneficiaries. Through this program, we are able to share Bible truths to families in the community. We are able to witness to families, and praise God because we see lives changed. We are able to minister to more than a thousand families from different villages across the city.

 "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things

of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

And base things of the world, and things which

are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things

which are not, to bring to nought things that are:"
