  • Salvation Testimony

I was born and raised in a Christian home. My dad is a pastor and missionary and my mom helped him in the ministry. The things that I was doing as a part of being in a Christian family became just a routine for me every day. One day, my dad talked to me and my brother on how to be saved but I did not fully understand it then. For me, being a pastor’s or a missionary’s kid would be acceptable to go to Heaven, not knowing that I was wrong.

As I grew older, going to church to me became just a mandatory thing to do as a son of a missionary. Things went well for me but I felt no joy in what I was doing in the church. One Sunday, I was in the morning service just like any other services and that time the preaching was about the second coming of Christ. He said that there will come a time that Christ will come again to take His children to Heaven and those who didn’t believe in Him will be left behind. I felt fear when I heard that. Ever since, it kept bothering me each time I think about it and I started to doubt if I’m really saved but I keep forcing my mind that I’m already saved.

But everything changed in March 23, 2010 on a Tuesday night when we gathered together to have our family devotion. My dad shared about the rapture and about Christ. While he was sharing about it, I felt again the fear that was bothering me for the past weeks. After the devotion, I fell down on my knees and cried. My mom saw me and quickly told my dad about the situation.

My dad asked me what was bothering me and there I told him that I’m afraid to be left behind and go to hell. I told him I want to be sure that I will go to Heaven when Christ comes back to take His children home. There my dad shared again the Gospel of Christ to me on how He gave His life for me on the cross of Calvary and that there’s no other way but the Lord Jesus Christ. That night I accepted Christ as my Lord and personal Savior. Being a pastor’s kid was not acceptable to God for me to go to Heaven. It is only through Jesus Christ and His blood that can cleanse me and save me. I am no longer afraid of being left behind because I know when Jesus comes or when He takes me, I am one of His children and He will take me home to be with Him.

  • Calling & Training

Even at a young age, I've always wanted to become a pastor just like my dad. As I grew older, my desire to share the Word to others became stronger and stronger even though the life of serving Christ is hard. During my high school years, I felt the calling of God of having the burden to win lost souls for Him. I know it would not be an easy task, but I know God is with me each step of the way. That time, I surrendered my life to the Lord and I entered Bible College to be trained and to let Him use my life for His glory.

Under the charge of my father who is a pastor and missionary, I was taught in the church a lot of things about the ministry and how to be used by God even at an early age. Before I went to the United States, I already started my training back at the Philippines at Fundamental Baptist College for Asians in 2011 and finished my bachelor’s degree there. To further my studies and be more equipped, God gave me an opportunity to take my Master’s degree at Marietta Bible College under the leadership of Dr. Myron Guiler. After I finish my studies, I will go back to my country to reach out my own native people by God’s grace.

  • Ministry Experience

At first, as a young boy I started helping out in teaching little children in our Sunday school and also in children centers we have in our village outreaches. As time went by, I began teaching children and sharing the Gospel to them and also to young people and adults.

I also started to preach in church at a young age because I always dreamed of being not only a pastor but also a missionary. I thank God for putting a burden in my heart to share the Lord Jesus Christ to those who have not yet heard Him.

In 2015, I was ordained as a pastor in one of the village churches in our city, never realizing that God would give me an opportunity to study at Marietta Bible College. I also taught in our Bible Institute in the Philippines and help train other servants of God in the ministry. It is a privilege to witness young people dedicate their lives for the Lord.
