I grew up as a pastor’s kid. I grew up in church participating in Sunday school classes, in the music ministry, and in church activities. I thought I was already saved because my family is Christian and because I know that I’m doing a lot of good works, but it turns out that salvation does not work that way.

At age of 7, my father came to me with a Bible in his hands and showed me the Gospel. He showed me the plan of salvation and that I am a sinner and I needed Christ in my life. I learned that there is no amount of good works that can save me from hell. When I realized my situation, I became afraid and was convicted that I am a sinner. There, I repented of my sins and I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in my heart.

But as I grew up, because I got saved at an early age, there were times I doubted my salvation and wondered if God would still forgive me from all the sins I have done. But thank God because there is assurance. My parents showed me from the Bible John 10:28, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”; John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” No matter what happens, because I have Christ in my heart, I will never be plucked out of the Father’s hand. I am saved forever. I keep this dear in my heart, reminding me that I won’t lose my salvation and my relationship with God.

God changed my life. And He is still changing me, working on me, and molding me today. Slowly, as I grew up physically and spiritually He made me understand many things. Slowly, He taught me through other Christians that were around me, slowly He’s adding more to my knowledge of who He is and how great He is.

I praise and glorify God that despite of who I am, still He chose me to serve Him. God has been good and faithful in everything in my life. Now I live my life everyday with joy and assurance that nothing shall be able to separate me from the love of God. And when I die, I’ll be with Him for all eternity. I praise and thank God for saving me, for all the blessings, and for what and He has done and will do in my life. To God be the glory!

During the last semester of my 1st year in a secular college in the Philippines, I came to realize that joy was nowhere to be found. I knew something was not right. I knew that my heart was not right with the Lord. God convicted me to go to a Bible College. So in 2015, I went to Fundamental Baptist College for Asians in Tarlac City, Philippines. On the first week of school, there was a revival meeting. God opened my eyes and touched my heart and gave me the burden for His ministry. I then realized that the joy I was looking for is found in surrendering my life to Him.

My family and the Bible college made a huge impact in my life. I have learned so much from school and from the people who have surrendered to full-time ministry. As I grew, God gave me the desire and burden to reach out to the unsaved children and youth with His Word.

In 2016, God gave me the opportunity to further my studies at Marietta Bible College at Marietta, Ohio under the leadership of Dr. Myron Guiler. I thank the Lord for leading me to a unique place like this where prayer is given much importance, with total dependence to God; a place where we are being taught and trained by great godly preachers; a place to learn more about Jesus and His Word and a place that will equip me to be used by God in the full-time ministry for His own glory.

I thank God for the privilege of getting involved in the ministry at a very young age. I was able to help with children ministry of our church by teaching children Bible stories, how to pray, sing Christian songs, and learn more about God.

Together with our church workers and volunteers, we go out to different villages every week to reach lost people. We knock on doors and witness to people so that they may hear the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I also had the privilege to disciple some young people and it is my continuous desire and prayer that God will use me to become an encouragement and inspiration to those young people to eventually desire to serve our Lord Jesus Christ through the ministry.

Through the ministries of Marietta Bible College, we are able to minister to the people through door-to-door soul winning, tracts distribution, home bible studies, visiting the elderly in nursing homes and participating in music ministry though our school choir trips to different churches.

I believe music can be used to glorify and worship the Lord and I thank God for giving me the talent in music and the privilege to be able to use it for His glory. In churches, I am given the opportunity to render violin pieces, play the piano for special numbers, and sing solos and in groups. I have also been giving violin lessons to my fellow students to be used in the ministry. During the summer, I volunteer in Vacation Bible Schools and camps. I make artworks like paintings, sketches and big signs for churches for their events.

Amid the pandemic that is happening around the world, God has opened another door for me to minister to our young people in the Philippines through online meetings. I believe everything God gives us can be used to glorify Him and it is a blessing for me to be able to serve God through God-given abilities and talents. All glory and praises are given to our Lord God Almighty!
