  • Salvation Testimony

I am blessed to be raised up in a Christian home where my father pastors our church and my mother is a faithful Sunday school teacher. When I was a little boy, my mother would always ask me a question “Are you going to heaven when you die?” I would tell her that yes I am going to heaven, because I have a personal relationship with Jesus. But even though I heard the message of salvation since the day I was born, I never really knew what it really means, I would just tell my mother that “Yes, I am saved”, but deep inside my heart I never knew what being saved is.

One Sunday morning, my Sunday school teacher taught us about creation and how a perfect relationship with God was destroyed by sin, how man fell into sin and was bound to hell, and then shared to us that 2000 years ago the Lord Jesus Christ came down in this world and paid the sins of man on the Cross of Calvary, a payment that only He can pay, on how He loves me and gave Himself for me and how He invites people to have personal relationship with Him and to be their Savior. Then our teacher asked us if we would like to accept Jesus as our Lord and personal savior, I raised up my hand not because I understood it clearly but because all of the kids in my class raised up their hand.

And I kept on living like that, hearing the Gospel over and over again but never really being real to me, until one Sunday night, God just put a question in my mind that caught my attention, “What does hell looks like?” out of nowhere I just thought about it and I wanted to find the answer so I went to the room where our youth pastor is staying and asked him “What is hell looks like?” He got his Bible, and then verse after verse in the Bible, he explained it to me and told me how horrible hell is, the fire, the darkness, that it was an unending punishment for sinners, for the people that don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus, and I knew that I was one of them, that I don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and I was so scared that tears begins to fall in my eyes. I asked our youth pastor if he can help me and show me how to have a relationship with Christ and he gladly shared it with me. That day June 2 of 2013, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal savior, something happened then that I cannot fully explain, how my heart was filled with joy, and a peace in my heart knowing that after this life, I will not go to a horrible place but will be with my Savior in heaven.

  • Calling & Training

Since I was a young, I’ve always looked up to my father and dreamed of becoming a pastor like him. I thought being a pastor was easy, and the ministry was just all fun. But as I grew up, I saw the struggles and difficulties my parents had to go through in the ministry. That’s why when I was in high school I decided to pursue a secular course, get a job, and help in our finances, even though in my heart, I knew that God was calling me in the ministry. But then that summer after I graduated from high school, I asked my father “What keeps you going in being a pastor?” and he shared to me, that yes there are many reasons to quit like problems, financial needs, and so on, but he said the reason why he can’t quit is because of his loved ones that don’t have Christ yet in their hearts, “How can I quit when I see them that they are still lost and still bound to hell, who will reach them?” It pricked my heart knowing that I have many uncles, cousins and loved ones that are still hell bound and that they need the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ever since I heard my father’s testimony, God opened doors for me that summer to be involved in the ministry, doing visitations and Bible studies, leading the young people’s group, because just like my father, how can I just keep quiet when I know the truth all along, how can I be selfish to not share what Jesus has done on the cross of Calvary, when it’s the story that lost people needs to hear. Since then God put in my heart to be an instrument for the furtherance of His Gospel.

At the age of 16, I surrendered my life to Him for full-time ministry and entered Fundamental Baptist College for Asians, and two years later God has opened another opportunity for me to study at Marietta Bible College at Marietta, Ohio in the United States of America, to further my studies and learn more about the Bible. It was hard for me to leave my family, my home church and ministry, but I know that God is not done with me yet and I’ll trust Him no matter what and do more for His Glory.

  • Ministry Experience

Starting at a young age, my father already encouraged me to help in the ministry. I joined our Saturday visitation, where we visited church members and also went soul winning. I believe God allowed me to be involved in those ministries even as a young boy was to have a heart for the ministry and to mold me and make me who I am today.

After I decided to surrender my life for full-time ministry, I began to be involved in the children ministry, where every Saturday we go to a place called Looban in our town to teach children out on the streets. We would gather them on one side of the road and tell them BIble stories and the plan of Salvation.

When I entered Bible college, my father assigned me to help our youth pastor. Through that, I had the opportunity to be deeply involved in winning the youth. I saw many young people and how they are greatly influenced by this word concerning immorality and addiction, that’s why I have a big burden in winning the youth, because I believe they are our future messengers of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Every Tuesday and Thursday, we held a youth gathering where we share the Word of God, have prayer time, and help them in their spiritual walk with God through discipleship. Every Saturday, we gather them to do visitation, knocking on doors, giving out Gospel tracts, involving them in the ministry.

I thank God for the opportunity for me to study in America in Marietta Bible College under the leadership of Dr. Myron Guiler. Among many ministries of the college, we are also able to visit different churches as a choir, ministering to fellow Christians through singing. God has also given us a ministry to the elderly where we go to nursing homes every Saturday, to share them the Word of God, singing praises, and having prayer time with them.
