  • Salvation Testimony

I grew up in a Christian family. My family were faithful Christians and we always went to church. I even studied at a Christian school and we had classes where we were taught about God, the Bible, and how to be good Christians. I was a good kid and never got in trouble so I thought I was okay.

But one day in one of our classes, we had a film viewing. The movie was called “Hell Is Real”. While I was watching, I got scared with how realistic it was. In the film, the people that did not believe and accept Jesus Christ went to hell. The film made me remember my past sins and how being young is not a good enough excuse for me not to go to hell. When the movie ended, our teacher asked us, “What did you see and understand?” At the age of 10, I didn’t understand everything, however, one thing I realized was that I was not yet saved. I realized I was a sinner and like the people in that movie, I will go to hell. But then my teacher opened her Bible in John 3:16. As she read it, she began to weep and said that Jesus is the only way to go to heaven and we need to repent from all our sins and accept Him as our Lord and personal Savior of our lives.

Our teacher shared the film with us because she cared for our souls. She didn’t want us to have a miserable life without Jesus in our hearts. I told to her that I was not yet saved and I was so scared to go to hell. Right there, she guided me and all those who wanted to receive Jesus in their hearts to pray to ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness from our sins and ask Him to come in our hearts. That day was October 5, 2005. After we prayed, I felt joy and peace that I’ve never experience before.

After that, everything in my life started to change with Lord Jesus Christ in my heart. Last July 17, 2019, I called my old teacher. She is now here in the United States and has a family of her own. I asked if she still remembers that time when she led me and my classmates to accept Jesus. I told her that day I accepted Jesus and the Lord called me to become a preacher. She told me because it was so long ago that she doesn’t remember anymore but she said that even though she doesn’t remember, she was so happy and was blessed to hear me serving the Lord Jesus Christ. God used her life for me to know Him. I want to be used by God to spread the Gospel and for people to know Jesus as their Savior too.

  • Calling & Training

I was in my senior year of high school when I felt the calling of the Lord, but I tried to escape it because I saw how serving God is not easy. My family is not wealthy, after I graduated from high school I told my parents that I would help them. I worked as a baggage boy at a supermarket for one and a half years. I tried to ignore God but I thank Him because He is always faithful. One day, while on my way back to my dormitory there was a drunken man who followed me and tried to attack me using a knife. I was able to get away from him and reach my dorm. I prayed to God. I know He protected me. I realized my life will be meaningless unless I follow Him. I asked forgiveness for running away from His calling and then I surrendered my life Him.

In the year 2013, I surrendered my whole life to the Lord. I prayed to Him that I will follow Him no matter what happens in my life and do what He wants me to do. I didn’t know anything about the ministry so He led me to enroll at the Fundamental Baptist College for Asians in Tarlac City, Philippines to learn more about the Bible and His ministry.

In 2018, God gave me the opportunity and privilege to study at Marietta Bible College at Marietta, Ohio under the leadership of Dr. Myron Guiler to further my training and knowledge in the ministry. It is a great blessing to be taught the Word of God by great preachers and teachers.

  • Ministry Experience

While I was studying at the Bible College in the Philippines, I was given the privilege to work as a church worker in my home church. I was involved with the young people and eventually became the youth leader. I thank God for that opportunity. I saw many grow in faith and are still serving Him today, guiding other Christians to become more faithful.

By God’s grace, He enabled me to preach His Word in a church at a small village every Sunday morning. I was blessed to be able to conduct Bible studies, knock on doors, teach little children, conduct vacation Bible school every summer, and handle Youth Camps.
